Hi everyone.  The mamas are taking a break next week, so this Saturday, August 28 we will not be in our clinic.  We will be checking our voicemail periodically throughout the week as well as our e-mail, so if you need to leave a message, do so and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.  We will be back in the clinic on September 4.  Check back in a few weeks though, because our clinic hours will be changing and for some of you it may be more convenient.  See you soon!

New Product Line
Mama is launching a new product line for the Fall. Our “Natural Professionals” line will consist of unadulterated, pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils, carrier oils, pre-blended oils (like our famous “epidural oil” that our birth clients just love!) and more. Belly Casting + More Pampering
Our bellycasting sessions now include an aromatherpy neck and shoulder massage. Our full casting service is just $90 and should be booked for when you are at least 36+ weeks pregnant. Casting is done in our clinic and appointments can be booked pretty much anytime.

Grand Opening on Saturday, March 6th

What started out as an interesting morning with a few frustrations, ended up turning into a beautiful somewhat-Spring-feeling,  successful day. We were very proud of ourselves having made it to the clinic at 9:15am just as we had planned. Then we both stepped out of the van, arms full of things to bring inside, when we realized neither one of us had a clinic key with us.

I know, I know, we thought the same thing–”Are you kidding me!?” Since I went with Rachel, I didn’t bring my keys and Rachel had a different vehicle than usual this morning, so she didn’t have her normal keys. We just looked at each other and dashed back into the van. Since it was still early, we were lucky and made it back with a few minutes to set up before our first visitor arrived.

It warmed up a bit outside and the day went on pretty steadily. We got to meet some new people, and we saw lots of our usual customers and some current clients.

What a wonderful surprise when some past clients came to visit! Here is Tiffany with birth doula clients from last year; Aimee, Steve and adorable baby Bodwyn who is 7 months old now. He has the greatest cheeks!

It is an amazing privilege to support a family through childbirth, and I think one of the best parts is seeing these families later on down the road and how they have grown together. Thank you so much for stopping by and I would like to encourage other past clients to come on in anytime during our drop-in hours!

The rest of the day went off without a hitch, and I loved some of the comments from visitors about our place, “You just can’t get angry in here”, “It’s so relaxing I just want to fall asleep”, “This place has great vibes.”

We would like to announce special birth doula package pricing for repeat clients! You must have had a MamaAssist doula for a previous baby’s birth to qualify for this price. It’s so wonderful to work with the same clients again, we thought we would show our appreciation. Standard LabourAssist package just $395 for repeat clients!

Saturday Morning Class Times
Our Just Like Labour class is in high demand! We’re adding Saturday morning class dates. Check back here in a couple of weeks to find out the new Saturday dates in addition to our normal Tuesday night classes.

Location, Location, Location
And finally, we are thrilled to informally announce the opening of our FIRST “brick-and-mortar” store and clinic location. We are finalizing everything right now, and plan to be open February 1st! Now you’ll be able to shop for your Earth Mama Angel Baby and Belli products at our store, book your belly casting or hot stone therapy in our clinic room, and our classes will be held at our location. More details to be shared soon! Thank you so much for all of your support these last few years. We will finally be able to welcome you into “Mama’s Home”.

Our October class is now full and due to some scheduling issues with the room we’ve booked, we have had to change our class dates for November and December. The new dates are November 3rd, and December 1st, both on Tuesdays. Times are still 6:30pm-8:30pm.

If none of these dates work for you, but you are interested in experiencing the Just Like Labour simulation and comfort measures instruction, you can book a private class in your home for $65. Travel fee may apply to residences outside of the London area.

Hello Everyone!

About a year ago, we released a survey asking what you thought we should add to MamaAssist. Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments and constructive feedback. Rachel and I are very surprised that what you wanted the most was to hear more from us! We had numerous responses asking to see a blog, or articles written on the very thing our business is all about–pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. With this new website, we hope to give that to you. Like many of you, we loved our old website, but it was really hard to communicate what new things we were up to! Hopefully this will prove to be a good change.

A couple things we would like to point out: The menu system has changed, so please look through the orange menus above go browse through our services. Information about Belly Casting, our Getting Labour Started relaxation session, and our new service Hot Stone Therapy are all located under “Other Services”.
